SBA appoints Ross as President for future of organization

We’re proud to announce the appointment of Jalen Ross as the next President of the Sports Business Association for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Alongside him, Director of Administrative Affairs, Gabriella Avendano will serve as Vice President.

A Norman Native, Ross has served on the SBA’s executive team for the past year in the marketing department. He is a Sports Business major, football coach, member of the 64th President’s Leadership Class, and serves on the University’s Parent and Family Programs Advisory Board.

Avendano, a California native, is a Sports Business and Management Information Systems double major and Tom Love’s Scholar, Deans List honoree, an intern with the Oklahoma City Thunder’s ‘Thunder Innovations’ program, and member of Kappa Delta Chi. The 1-2 punch will lead with transparency, core values, and a mission to help change and uplift the lives of their peers. Both care deeply about the University and doing their best to serve its mission.

We’re beyond excited for the future of the SBA with Gabby and Jalen at the helm, alongside a team of passionate students…soon to be announced!
