SBA Mock Interviews: Presented by Sooner Club
Throughout October 2025, the SBA launched its first-ever mock interview program for OU sports business students.
Students had the opportunity to sign up for a 30-minute mock interview slots with various full-time staff members with the Sooner Club, the development arm of OU Athletics. This was the first program developed to help provide students with interview experience in the sports business landscape.
30 SBA members took the time to sign up for a mock interview, gaining valuable exposure to feedback and interview questions that consistently come up in interviews for roles in sports business.
Sports Business Week 2025
In April of 2025, we hosted the first-ever “Sports Business Week” for the Price College of Business.
This week consisted of social events, promotional item giveaways, a resume workshop with industry professionals from Sooner Club and the OKC Thunder, a tour of the Thunder’s corporate office, a luncheon with our Sports Business faculty, and a speaker panel focused on events being hosted in Oklahoma City for the 2028 Olympics.
Bringing the Olympics to OKC
With OKC being announced as a site for LA28, we made it our task to make the University of Oklahoma synonymous with the Olympic movement in OKC.
On April 4th, we hosted a day-long series of events that we titled “Bringing the Olympics to OKC.” This included class visits and a keynote speaker panel in OU’s football stadium. We had 129 members and faculty attend this panel, including the guest speakers below:
